“”A doctor interested in human minds and writing.”
I’m an Indian Medical Graduate (MBBS, DCMH | NIMHANS) and an aspiring MD in Psychiatry, working at the intersection of clinical science and everyday mental health.
For the past three years, I’ve been working in community mental health at the district level as a Nodal Officer, conducting sessions across schools, colleges, and professional settings. This isn’t just academic for me — it’s built on real people, real stories, and the patterns I see every day on the ground, it’s rooted in real conversations, real struggles, and real gaps I see every day.
What draws me to this field is simple, yet profound — the human brain. It’s astonishing in its complexity, and the thoughts it generates have the power to shape our entire reality. It can create meaning, identity, resilience… and at the same time, confusion, distress, and suffering. The same thoughts that can build your life can also quietly dismantle it.
Despite this, mental health remains an area where demand is rapidly rising, while awareness is often either lacking or misunderstood.
So this platform is my attempt to bridge that gap — even if it’s just a small, honest contribution.
Here, I break down mental health in a way that is both medically accurate and practically useful — helping you understand not just what you feel, but why you feel it, and what you can realistically do about it without confusion, stigma, or unnecessary fear.
Because not everything needs therapy — and not everything should be ignored either. —
If you’re trying to understand yourself better, take care of your mental health, or support someone else — you’re in the right place.

AI is entering mental health care quickly. The conversation around it moves even faster — and often outruns what the evidence actually supports. Some claims about what large language models can do for mental health are genuinely promising. Others are confident in ways the science isn’t. This piece is an attempt to hold both things…
Your Skincare Routine Is Doing More Than You Think — Just Not in the Way You’ve Been Told
There’s a version of the skincare-and-mental-health conversation that has been circulating for a while now, and it tends to be enthusiastic in ways that outrun the evidence. Cortisol drops by 83%. Serums talk to your neurotransmitters. Your cleanser is basically therapy. The core idea underneath all of this — that caring for your skin can…
Parkinson’s Disease in India Has Its Own Genetic Story — And It’s Only Now Being Written
For decades, what we knew about the genetics of Parkinson’s disease came almost entirely from studies conducted in European populations. That knowledge was assumed to be universal. It isn’t. And India — with 1.48 billion people, over 4,500 ethnolinguistic groups, and a pattern of genetic diversity unlike anywhere else in the world — is finally…
